Vintage Mid-Century Majolica Style Green Cabbage Leaf Pedestal Compote Dish

30.00 $
Description
Majolica style compote dish with a molded green cabbage leaf exterior and terracotta colored interior. Pedestal base. Weighs 2 lbs 14.8 oz, so it has solid heft. Pre-owned with no visible wear to note. No chips or cracks. Minor paint wear on the edges and light surface scuffs on the base. Nothing that reads from a normal viewing distance. Maker is unknown. The construction and glaze style suggest mid-century production, possibly Italian or Portuguese, but I cannot confirm that.
