★ This is a sword cord (sageo) made by Dōmyō, a master of traditional Japanese braided cords (kumihimo), using the Sasanamigumi (bamboo ripple weave) technique. It features a beautiful purple color and comes in a box.
★ I purchased this as a personal treat but have kept it stored at home without using it. I hope someone can put it to good use.

Made in Japan. The Sasanamigumi weave is named for its resemblance to ripples on the water's surface.
Dōmyō's kumihimo and obi ties are individually hand-dyed and hand-braided, so there may be slight variations in color and weave.
For gradient or shaded dyes, the appearance at the knot will vary depending on body shape and the thickness of the obi worn.
