Vintage Folk Art Rooster & Hen Hand Painted Cut Metal Wall Decor Pair

Condition: Pre-owned vintage condition with age-related surface wear, scratches, oxidation/rust, paint loss and patina. Please review all photos carefully, including the backs, as they are an important part of the condition description. No maker’s mark observed. Description: Charming vintage pair of folk-art rooster and hen decorations, made from flat cut sheet metal and decorated with colorful hand-painted/stenciled feather details. The rooster features especially attractive red, black, white and multicolored plumage, while the hen has a more subdued gray, cream and red palette. Both have small bent metal tabs/loops on the reverse, apparently intended for mounting or hanging. These appear to be older decorative folk-art pieces rather than mechanical or lithographed tin toys. Based on their construction, design and aged surfaces, they are possibly mid-20th century, circa 1940s–1960s, although the exact age, maker and country of origin are unknown. They have a wonderful primitive farmhouse/folk-art look and would display beautifully in a kitchen, country interior, farmhouse collection, or alongside other vintage rooster and poultry collectibles. Details: * Set of 2 — rooster and hen * Cut sheet-metal construction * Painted/stenciled decoration * Vintage folk-art / primitive style * Mounting tabs/loops on reverse * Maker unknown/unmarked * Exact age and origin unknown * Sold together as pictured
