Vintage 1940/50s Pearl Lace Bridal Crown Headpiece Wired Juliet Cap Tiara Ivory

A wired bridal crown built on a shaped frame, each panel filled with fine ivory lace scattered with sequins and outlined all the way round in tiny pearl beads. Tall pointed peaks at the front and sides, looped pearl scrollwork between them, larger pearl beads at the joins, and a scalloped pearl edge along the base band. Open crown that sits up off the head. This is real 1940/50s millinery, not a costume piece — every bead is strung onto the wire by hand and the lace is cut and fitted panel by panel. Nobody builds these any more. The ivory has aged to a soft warm champagne that photographs beautifully. Bridal, theatrical, or straight onto a shelf as an object. Check out my other items and bundle to save on postage.
