Born in Paris in 1919, Bernard Cathelin began his career as a painter in earnest. Within a few years, in his 30s, he began winning various awards, starting with the Prix Brumenthal, gaining recognition for his talent.
Subsequently, Cathelin became a globally popular artist, holding solo exhibitions in Europe, as well as New York, London, and Japan.
He dedicated his passion to creating lithographs, and in 1965, he was featured in the print catalog of the prestigious Parisian print workshop, Atelier Mourlot, alongside Chagall, Picasso, and Miró.
His unique painting style, which depicts still lifes such as abstracted flowers with bright colors, is highly popular to this day because it can be displayed in any room without clashing.
