A thin 22-inch custom-modified bass drum with a depth of approximately 10 inches (approx. 22 cm) (Photo 14), self-cut from an unused, new-old stock 22-inch bass drum shell of unknown manufacturer (front hoop to back hoop).

Parts other than the shell are handmade by an amateur, assembled from new and used parts. This is not suitable for those seeking authentic bass drum sound and construction or perfection.
Please purchase only if you understand that this is a modified junk item made by an amateur.

In recent years, drum sets have been downsized due to constraints in transportation, setup space, and playing volume.

Improved transportation convenience
① Being thin, it fits into half of a 22-inch bass drum case, with space for toms, cymbals, pedals, etc. in the remaining area.
② The front side is secured at 4 points for easy removal of the front head. By removing the front head during transport, many pieces of equipment can be stored in the bass drum case.

Improved setup space convenience
The depth is approximately 10 inches (22 cm), half that of a conventional bass drum. It is shallower than small-diameter bass drums.
Examples:
① Pearl's Rhythm Traveler version 3S bass drum has a diameter of 14 inches and a depth of 12 inches.
② Products made by converting 16-inch or 18-inch floor toms into bass drums often have a depth of 16 inches.

Countermeasure for playing volume constraints
The front head has no hole. If you make a hole yourself, it will be easier to insert muffling material inside the shell, allowing for volume adjustment by controlling the amount of muffling.

Other
The edge on the batter head side utilizes the original bass drum edge.
The cut side has been processed to be reasonably flat and smooth with a file.
Parts such as lugs, tension bolts, claws, and spurs were purchased new or used.
Tama spurs were purchased used.
New parts were used for the batter side lugs, etc.
Used parts were used for the front side lugs, etc. (metal parts have rust and pitting).
The hoops are wooden, purchased used, carefully filed, and then coated three times with acrylic paint.
