This is a 12 TAMA Rockstar series tom converted into a snare drum.
The snare bed has been cut locally.

When tuned low, it can be used as a field drum, and because the lugs are sturdy, it can be tuned to a relatively high pitch and incorporated into a drum set as a regular snare.
The tom holder bracket from its time as a tom is still attached, so it can be mounted on a regular tom holder.
We believe there are various possibilities for sound creation and setup.
The strainer is a Pearl SR150A (discontinued), a sleek, vertically oriented strainer. It features the Click Lock found on the SR165, allowing for quiet and secure fixation.
The heads were replaced not too long ago, so there are some minor dents from playing, but they are still usable.
