Description
Beautiful vintage sheer floral fabric with a bold, saturated jewel-tone print of roses and flowers in fuchsia, magenta, purple, cobalt blue, coral and orange against a very dark background. This is an extremely lightweight, sheer and fluid fabric with virtually no structure. It drapes and flows much like a lightweight scarf and would be especially beautiful for a swim cover-up, sheer robe or kimono, scarf, dress overlay, flowing sleeves or layered apparel. Approximately 5½ continuous yards × 44” wide. The hand and appearance are consistent with a chiffon-type fabric, likely polyester or another synthetic/blend; exact fiber content is unknown. Estimated late 1980s–early 1990s, based on the dramatic oversized jewel-tone floral design. The fabric is sheer and would generally require lining when used for garments where opacity is desired. #Haberdashery #SewingFabric
