Vintage approximately 4-yard length of 48” wide printed satin-type apparel fabric with a striking oversized floral and paisley-inspired design. The print combines dusty coral/rose, deep purple and blue, teal green, taupe and cream, with layered florals, foliage and scrolling abstract motifs. The colors and dramatic painterly design have a wonderful 1980s aesthetic. Fabric is lightweight to light-medium weight with a smooth surface and attractive subtle shimmer/satin sheen. Unlike a very fluid charmeuse, this fabric has some body and only moderate drape. It also develops some static when handled, suggesting a synthetic fiber; likely polyester, although fiber content is unknown and has not been laboratory tested. Measures approximately 4 yards x 48” wide. Great yardage for a vintage-inspired blouse, dress, robe, kimono-style jacket, costume or other apparel/sewing project.
