Fantastic vintage abstract modernist fabric in a dramatic black, ivory/gray and red colorway. The oversized print features an eclectic mix of free-form geometric and architectural-looking motifs, linear doodles, spirals and stylized botanical shapes. Very distinctive mid-century/atomic-era aesthetic. Fabric has a cool, smooth hand with beautiful fluid drape, somewhat reminiscent of the feel of modern Tencel/lyocell. Exact fiber content is unknown; likely rayon, synthetic, or a blend. It is a woven fabric rather than a knit. Measures approximately 4 1/4 yards long x 58” wide — a generous vintage yardage suitable for dresses, skirts, flowing pants, jackets, tops, costumes or other apparel and textile projects. Estimated late 1950s–1960s/possibly early 1970s based on print and fabric characteristics. No manufacturer or fiber identification found. Condition: Very good vintage condition overall.
