Up for sale is a beautiful, striking Vintage Ceramic Art Mask Brooch / Pin signed by Mélange.   This unique piece of wearable art features a theatrical, masquerade-style smiling face with a dramatic split-glaze finish. One half is coated in a rich, reflective metallic gold glaze, while the other side is finished in a high-gloss jet black. The dramatic styling captures a classic Art Deco or avant-garde aesthetic popular in the 1980s and 1990s studio art movement.  The back is clearly hand-signed Mélange in gold script. It has a standard metal safety pin clasp securely attached to the back.
