Vintage Limoges Porcelain France Brooch with hand painted depiction of Mahatma Gandhi in Gold Gilt Frame. The Brooch dates back to 1930. The reverse is marked “Limoges Mad in France”. This is a convex brooch and measures approximately 2 inches tall and 1.5 inches wide. A beautifully crafted Mahatma Gandhi Brooch by Limoges of France from 1930. It depicts a hand-painted image of Mahatma Gandhi, India’s Father of the Nation and the apostle of peace. Gandhi is portrayed here with a white cloth draped over his shoulders and a smiling face, a rare scene. The porcelain is framed in a gold gilt frame. Limoges in southwestern France was the European center for artistic enamel painting in the Middle Ages and during the Renaissance. The condition of this Porcelain Mahatma Gandhi Brooch is remarkably good for its vintage condition.
