Vintage Mythological Figural Cameo Brooch

Striking vintage cameo brooch featuring an unusual classical figural scene with a woman and magnificent fantasy bird against a soft salmon-pink ground.   The dimensional ivory-tone relief is surrounded by an elaborate antiqued silver-tone openwork frame with scrolling foliate details.  A wonderfully distinctive alternative to the traditional portrait cameo, with a romantic mythological and neoclassical sensibility. Large statement size at approximately 2½+ inches tall. Finished with a secure pin clasp on the reverse.  Unmarked silver-tone metal; cameo appears to be molded resin/composite.   Vintage condition with light age-related surface variation as pictured.
