Vintage Israeli 925 Sterling Silver Brooch Pendant – Blue Green Chrysocolla Eila

A striking vintage Israeli brooch and pendant featuring a large polished blue-green cabochon set in a sculptural sterling silver frame. The sweeping open-wire design gives it a beautiful mid-century modernist feel, while the rich turquoise, teal, green, and dark matrix of the stone makes every angle a little different.  The piece is stamped MADE IN ISRAEL 925, confirming the sterling silver content. The stone resembles chrysocolla or Eilat-type stone; however, it has not been professionally tested, so the exact mineral composition is unknown.  Designed to be worn as either a brooch or pendant, making it a gorgeous statement piece on a jacket, scarf, or chain. Believed to date to approximately the late 1960s–1970s.
