NRA 1930’s Deluxe Cigar Box

This vintage wooden box is a confirmed 1930s-era cigar box, identified by the specific branding and historical insignias on the interior lid. Key Historical Features National Recovery Administration (NRA) Logo: The small eagle stamp on the right is the Blue Eagle logo of the National Recovery Administration, a New Deal agency established by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1933. Meaning: This logo signifies that the manufacturer complied with NRA codes of fair competition, which regulated wages and working hours during the Great Depression. Date Range: Because the NRA was only active between June 1933 and May 1935 (when it was ruled unconstitutional), any item bearing this logo can be precisely dated to that two-year window. DE LUXE Branding: This term was frequently used by cigar brands of that era, such as Benson & Hedges or Wm. Bensev, to denote a premium product line.
