Elegant Green & Gold Beaded Evening Clutch

This item is a vintage mid-century hand-beaded evening clutch/bag featuring an Art Deco-inspired sheaf motif. It is meticulously crafted with metallic gold bugle beads that form a fan or botanical pattern, contrasted against a densely textured background of iridescent green seed beads.  The purse features a structured engraved gold-tone metal frame, a decorative kiss-lock closure at the top, and a matching gold-tone chain link strap that allows it to be carried as a shoulder bag or tucked inside to use as a clutch. Purses with this distinct style and craftsmanship were widely popular between the 1950s and 1960s, often handmade in places like Hong Kong or Japan for prominent evening wear brands of the era such as La Regale, Walborg, and Josef. The bag is in excellent condition.
