2.5 Vtg Handmade Mile a Minute Crochet Afghan 70.5x91.25 Blue Cream Striped

Vintage handmade crochet afghan featuring a classic mile-a-minute style construction with long individual crocheted strips joined together.  The blanket features cream/off-white, dusty blue, slate blue-gray, tan, and variegated yarn with openwork crochet running through the center of each strip. Rounded ends and blue edging give the blanket a distinctive scalloped, elongated striped appearance.  Approximately 70.5x 91.25  The generous size works well as a large sofa blanket, bed blanket, decorative throw, or vintage textile accent.  Condition: Good vintage condition with normal signs of previous use. One small area between adjoining crocheted strips was not fully joined, leaving an opening between the sections. This appears to be a construction irregularity from when the afghan was made rather than later damage. A loose yarn tail is also present nearby.
