1960s Italian Blefeld Harlequin Twisted-Stem Champagne Coupes, Set of 3
Blefeld
A jewel-toned trio of 1960s Italian glass, these Blefeld Harlequin champagne coupes turn classic stemware into something decidedly more sculptural. Each is rendered in a different translucent hue—lavender, smoky blush and rose—with the color carrying from the broad, shallow bowl to the circular foot. Between them, an elongated clear glass stem twists upward before opening into a beautifully worked flourish beneath the bowl. It is the combination that makes them: three related but individual colors, unified by an exuberant silhouette unmistakably of its era. Made in Italy in the 1960s, the Blefeld Harlequin glasses stand nearly seven inches tall, giving them an especially graceful presence on a bar cart or open shelving. Use them for champagne and cocktails, or simply let the trio become part of a collected display of vintage glass. Approximate age: 1960s Style descriptors: Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Regency, Italian Modern, Eclectic Measures approximately 6.75 tall, 3 wide and 3 deep. In very good vintage condition. The rose-colored glass has a small blemish/chip on the clear twisted stem, shown closely in photographs. Please refer to all photographs for condition.
