Vintage Gold Plated Ornate Butter Dish Decor

This vintage butter dish has a classic scalloped tray and a domed lid with a decorative finial. Based on my research, I believe that it is gold-plated. It would make a really pretty decor piece  Exact age unknown and no makers mark  MEASUREMENTS: approximately 7.25 x 4 x 3 inches  CONDITION: in vintage condition with signs of age and use, including significant tarnishing, finish wear, and patina throughout both the interior and exterior surfaces as shown in the photos. I believe it once had a glass insert that is not included  Please look carefully at the photos as they are part of the description.  Most vintage/ antique items show normal signs of age/ wear. I consider these imperfections to be patina and character. I will always try to disclose any chips, cracks or larger imperfections in the description as well as in photos.
