Vintage Brutalist Bohemian Kilt Pin Brooch Dangling Charms Shawl 3 Inch

Saturday night. Private rooftop suite in Manhattan. Somebody assumes the oversized pin means you came upstairs with the designer.  Nobody checks.  Five minutes later you're inside the private lounge and somebody is asking whether you want the car brought around.  This vintage 3 kilt-pin brooch uses the safety-pin body as structural architecture rather than hiding it. Multiple twisted-wire elements create the upper framework while a secondary chain of repeated spiral links forms a broad suspended lower arc.  The hanging components deliberately break that symmetry. Long tubular beads create vertical lines while irregular green pieces, dark round beads, translucent accents and the large teardrop center drop introduce different mass and swing rates. Movement therefore happens in layers instead of the entire piece moving as one rigid unit.  The result sits directly between Bohemian assemblage and Brutalist jewelry logic: exposed wire, visible mechanics, irregular components and function treated as part of the design.  Approx. 3 wide.  Gertrude Dingleberry arrived wearing a copy made from a diaper pin, aquarium gravel and macaroni tied on with weed-whacker line.
