A wonderfully large and exceptionally cheerful vintage Shelly Tribbey hand painted needlepoint canvas, marked Shelly and BH04 along the lower edge.  This elaborate design centers on a fanciful yellow birdhouse cottage surrounded by a white picket fence against a beautiful turquoise blue background. Smaller birdhouses, flowering vines, climbing roses, colorful birds and an oversized blue bow create a wonderfully detailed garden scene. The palette of turquoise, yellow, raspberry pink, blue and green is especially vibrant and gives the piece the whimsical, decorative character associated with Shelly Tribbey designs.  This is a substantial canvas, with an approximately 15 square painted design.
