Kyoto Lacquerware Specialty Store
A set of five Gosei soup bowls from Kyoto's long-established Zōhiko, featuring beautiful gold maki-e on black lacquer.
Gosei refers to designs inspired by pure plants such as pine, bamboo, plum, orchid, and chrysanthemum, which have long been considered auspicious and elegant combinations.
Each bowl in this set is adorned with maki-e of different flowers, allowing you to enjoy their individual charm while still being a matching set, making them exceptionally refined pieces.
The deep black lacquer contrasts beautifully with the delicate gold maki-e, exuding a subtle yet undeniable presence.
Perfect for New Year's, celebrations, or entertaining guests, they also add a quiet touch of sophistication to everyday dining.
As a set of five, they are both practical for family use or guests and possess the exquisite beauty characteristic of Kyoto lacquerware.
