【Custom Order】Oyaide Insertion3398 Instrument Insertion Cable

This is an Insertion3398 instrument insertion cable, custom-made to order at the Oyaide store.

It cost around 9,800 yen at the time.

It was used for the insert of preamplifiers such as LR Baggs Para Acoustic DI.

It's rare to find this used, so I hope to pass it on to someone who is looking for it.

Insertion3398 is only available by made-to-order. Pedalboards are unique to each individual. The placement and optimal length vary, so all are made as one-off pieces.

By being able to finely arrange the cable lengths for the SEND and RETURN sides, you can create a smart and colorful pedalboard. Also, users of LR Baggs Para Acoustic DI, etc., often have an EX LOOP jack on the top of their effects unit, and many have requested a straight plug shape.

Oyaide Electric's Commitment

The cable used is Oyaide Electric 3398-SY. By using a shielded cable with precision conductor 102SSC, the effectiveness and resolution of the effects between SEND/RETURN are improved.

Despite having an outer diameter of 3mm (less than half the outer diameter of a normal guitar cable), the 3398-SY has a conductor (AWG20) equivalent to a normal guitar cable, achieving both flexible ease of handling and minimizing sound quality degradation.

The plug used is the Oyaide Electric P-6.3L, known for its compact size. The plug body is approximately 10.5mm thick, allowing for easy handling even in crowded pedalboards and increasing the freedom of pedalboard layout.

Furthermore, the plug insulation is finished with red & black heat shrink tubing. While focusing on weight reduction and minimizing wasted space, consideration has also been given to visibility.

The solder used is Oyaide SS-47. SS-47 is a lead-free solder containing high-purity 4N tin + 4.7% silver + 1.7% copper. It has high wettability among lead-free solders, achieving stable contact points and acoustic characteristics.
