【Wajima Special Selection】 Wajima Lacquerware Vase, Cylindrical, Ivy Maki-e, Black Lacquer, Traditional Craft, Includes 2 Base Plates

Thank you for viewing.

This is a traditional Wajima-nuri cylindrical vase (flower vase) featuring a beautiful ivy maki-e (gold lacquer) design in gold and copper colors on a deep, lustrous black lacquer.
The ivy pattern is auspicious, symbolizing prosperity and connections, making it suitable for both Japanese-style rooms and modern interiors.

* 2 Wajima-nuri base plates (mats)
* Box not included.

[Dimensions]
Vase: Diameter 9cm, Height 27.5cm, Depth 12cm
Base plate: Approx. 25.5cm (width) x 7.5cm (depth) x 0.9cm (thickness)

[Condition] (Please be sure to check)
● Exterior: The ivy maki-e has no peeling or chipping and retains its luster, remaining in excellent condition.
● Sticker: A gold Wajima Tokusen sticker remains on the back of the vase (see photo 2).
● Interior: Although difficult to convey in photos, the interior bottom and sides show age-related or use-related discoloration characteristic of lacquer (iridescent sheen and signs of use). There are no issues with use, but please understand this as part of the charm of an old craft.
● Base plates: Both plates have minor scuff marks from use.

While the exterior is exceptionally beautiful, the interior condition has been taken into account, and the item is offered at a lower price.
This is an area that will not be noticeable when flowers are arranged, so please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for a perfect item.
