US Military Genuine Flight Helmet Clear Visor SPH HGU-140

★ US Military Surplus - Deadstock - Unused clear visor for flight helmets!

 

Can be attached to SPH or HGU series helmets with the lock button in the center, but can also be attached to helmets with side lock buttons with some modification.

 

Detailed dimensions: Lens width from right to left is 21.7 cm at the top and 21 cm at the bottom. There is a 5 mm rail on the inner edge of the lens.
The height from the ground when the lens is placed flat is 17.5 cm at the top center and 16.8 cm at the bottom.

 

Please compare with your own lens before bidding.
Also, although unused, due to the nature of surplus items and a long storage period of 40 years, there may be a slight cloudiness on the lens if you look closely. It might be removable by polishing, but since it is new, we have not polished or touched it.

 

 

For reference:
In the past, when I used some of these, the surface coating peeled off with cleaners.
At that time, I soaked it in hot water to remove the entire coating and applied a new glass coating. Please use this as a reference if the surface coating peels off in bumps after polishing.
