Description
Vintage Japanese Handwoven Bamboo Lacquered Wagashi Basket w/ Lid Cricket Cage Pre-owned, in fair condition. Two of the delicate rods have snapped off (I will include the one that just gave way in my hands) and there are 2-3 other rods that are bent and fragile. Bottom rods look awesome. You may be able to glue back the one rod. Basket has general wear and some nicks here and there. This vintage East Asian handwoven bamboo basket features a distinctive lacquer finish, a fine caged vertical rod design, and intricately patterned lid. These are traditionally used as decorative trinket containers, cricket cages, or wagashi (sweet/candy) baskets. Measures approximately 6 in diameter and about 3.5 tall. Shipped with care with appropriate packaging, and I come from a smoke-free home. Please see my other listings I have for sale, and let me know if you have any questions!
