Vintage Japanese Satsuma Moriage Hand-Painted Colorful Porcelain Teacup

Gorgeous display piece (age and crazing, etc. make it not suitable for drinking from).  This is a vintage - made in the 1930’s and a few decades following - Japanese Satsuma Moriage porcelain teacup.  Moriage Technique:  The design includes raised slip trailing, creating a three-dimensional effect similar to cake frosting. These cups often feature hand-painted figures such as geishas or samurai, accompanied by floral patterns.   Ideal as a decorative piece or unique tabletop accent.
