Beautiful vintage Victorian Revival cameo brooch featuring a raised gold-tone profile of an elegant classical woman set against a glossy black background.  The woman has wonderfully detailed curled hair, a headband and delicate facial features, creating a striking Greco-Roman cameo look. The oval centerpiece is surrounded by an ornate antiqued gold-tone openwork frame with scrolling and beaded details.  The black cameo has a substantial feel and is believed to be glass, although it has not been professionally tested.
