Rare! Cartier Lighter, 3-Hole, Vintage, Gold

Briquet Must de Cartier Godron
Cartier Godron 3-hole lighter
Cartier Godron 3 Holes Edition

Rare ⭐︎ Vintage Cartier Gas Lighter, Godron model.
Manufactured between 1970-1980, this is a rare 3-hole oval model with three maintenance screws lined up on the bottom, which is not found in current models.

This is an early production model with a very special structure that appears to control the gas flow rate by adjusting the tension (tightness) of the spring that pushes up the flint, or the flint screw itself serves as an adjustment for the gas path.

■ Color: Gold (PLAQUE OR G engraved)
■ Serial Number: 93605X
■ Accessories: None (body only)

[Condition]
The condition is good for a vintage item.
There are minor dents (small scratches) and dings, but unlike many vintage items, there is no plating peeling or tarnishing on the corners, and the 18K gold plating retains its beautiful shine.

When gas was injected, a pssh sound was heard when the filling valve was pressed, suggesting that the tank's airtightness is maintained.

- Current Status: The gas ejection sound (hissing sound) when opening the lid cannot be confirmed, and the lighter is currently not igniting.

Flint is present, and sparks are produced reliably.

[Notes]
Based on my amateur research, it is suspected that the failure to ignite is due to the internal packing becoming stiff over time and disuse.
Those who are knowledgeable may be able to repair it themselves.

It does not appear to require major maintenance, but please consider it for overhaul, maintenance, or as a reference for collection purposes.

This is a rare 3-hole model, and the exterior is in beautiful condition.

I purchased it new a long time ago and then quit smoking, so it has been stored. I would be happy to pass it on to someone who understands antique items and will cherish it.

Please examine the images carefully and be satisfied before purchasing. If you have any questions, please ask, and I will provide additional images.
