Description
New Artisan Rare Marcasite Stone 925 Sterling Silver Black White Necklace OOAK This necklace is a work of art, the rare Marcasite Stone I have laid beautifully in 925 sterling silver (stamped). The stone was mined around Lake Michigan! I have slightly polished it on the front, but it is raw on the back. it is truly a one-of-a-kind piece, and goes great with any outfit. 10.4g 52.0ct Marcasite is named for the Medieval Latin term marcasita, a derivative of the Arabic word markaschatsa, meaning fire stone. This term isn't in reference to marcasite's beautiful metallic shine. Marcasite can actually spark when struck with iron or flint. According to many beliefs, marcasite is a talisman associated with wisdom, courage and expression. Comes with a free gift!
