Vintage Westinghouse Washer & Dryer Salt & Pepper Shakers MCM Laundry Twins

These are vintage Westinghouse “laundry twins” salt and pepper shakers set. They were actually given away as promotional items to people who came in for demonstrations of Westinghouse’s laundromat washer and clothes dryer. The promotion goes back to the 1950s and versions of the shaker set were produced for about a decade as Westinghouse updated the appliance designs. This style is documented as a 1960s Ideal Models Detroit version. The slogan was “Westinghouse laundry, twins go together like salt and pepper!” They are adorable and would look good in anybody’s kitchen.
