These are knee pads from Hatch's XTAK series, featuring an X-shaped protection shell.
The shell material, TPU, is a polymer compound that combines the supple elasticity of rubber with the toughness of hard plastic. It is fixed to the pad at three locations above and below, allowing it to bend flexibly with knee movement.
The inner side that contacts the knee uses the new material Coolmax. It absorbs and evaporates sweat 5 times faster than cotton, maintaining comfortable body humidity and lowering body temperature.
The straps are made of spandex, which has several times the tensile strength of rubber and stretches better than rubber.
