Vintage Chinese Forest Green Velvet Embroidered Dragon Toddler Baby Booties Boots Shoes.  Vintage Collectible The culture of dragon & tiger head shoes has a long history and has a high research value.  Very good condition, pre-owned never worn.  The shoes measure approximately 7 inches tall in the front as it slants down to 6 inches tall in the back, 4½ inches bottom, and 2½ inches wide.  These precious long baby booties boot style shoes have soft bottom soles and are fully lined with a soft pillowy fabric inside. Very sturdy working front zipper to take shoes off & on easily.  I did notice when taking these photos there is a very slight difference in the zippers, I had these for years and never noticed till Photos. These were made in a small village and being authentic and handmade this is part of what occurs upon availability of supplies. There is also a shoe string tie on the upper back of each boot.  Vintage (antique?) Chinese child's embroidered dragon baby booties boots shoes. They are made of a forest green velvet fabric, with embroidery creating a cute three dimensional animal face on the front.... The face shape of dragon shoes have a unique artistic charm. Dragon shoes were used as a protective symbol to frighten off evil spirits, bring peace and help a toddler learn how to walk.  The shoes are ready to wear or would make for a wonderful display piece of vintage/antique Chinese textile art.
