Vintage yellow John Deere advertising mechanical pencil from a local Ohio dealership. One side features the classic green leaping deer John Deere logo with the text: “JOHN DEERE MOLINE ILL. The Trade Mark of Quality Made Famous by Good Implements” The other side is imprinted: “Your Business Is Deere to Us R. E. MILLER AND SONS, INC. Spencerville & Van Wert, Ohio Phone 1-4 Phone 2503” The clip is marked “SHARPENCIL.” Yellow barrel with black top section and metal tip. Measurements: • Length: approximately 5 inches Condition: Pre-owned / used. Shows normal surface wear, light scratches, and age-related marks visible in the photos. Clip and tip are present and intact. Functionality of the lead mechanism is not guaranteed (common with these older promotional pencils). A nice piece of local Van Wert / Spencerville agricultural history and a fun collectible for John Deere enthusiasts or advertising memorabilia collectors.
