Description  Vintage Elgin mechanical pocket watch with ornate engraved Philadelphia Watch Case Co. Victory case.  Movement is marked Elgin Nat'l Watch Co. U.S.A. with serial number 27646099.  Condition / Function: Watch is currently not running and is being sold as-is for repair, restoration, or parts. The crown will wind a small amount, and the balance wheel spins freely when moved, but the movement does not continue running. The visible gears/movement show age and dirt and may require cleaning, service, or additional repair.  The watch has a beautifully detailed floral/scroll engraved case, ornate bow and crown, Arabic numeral dial, and subsidiary seconds dial. Dial shows substantial age-related discoloration, spotting, scratches/crazing and wear consistent with an antique watch. Case also shows surface wear, scratches, tarnish and age.  Approximately 2 inches across based on photos. Please review all photos carefully for cosmetic condition and markings.  No service history is known.
