This is a genuine, heat-resistant, and compact shichirin grill made from cut diatomaceous earth.
A renowned product from Noto, manufactured by Maruwa Kogyo.
This piece is from the era of master craftsman Wakita Mataji in the early 2000s. It is unused, but there are noticeable surface peelings in two places on the inside due to age. The included iron rod shows signs of rust.
Please understand that as this is a handmade item cut from natural diatomaceous earth, there may be slight variations and manufacturing scratches.
It does not affect usability, but those who are concerned should refrain from purchasing.
