Description
Step into a legendary fairytale universe with this rare vintage collection of four Babar the Elephant oversized hardcovers! This incredible collectible lot includes historic early editions featuring The Story of Babar (1937 Third English Edition), Babar the King (1937 Second English Edition), Babar Dans l'Ile aux Oiseaux (1951 Hachette), and La Fete de Celesteville (Hachette). These classic, beautifully oversized volumes showcase the iconic, timeless illustrations of Jean and Laurent de Brunhoff. Because they are vintage, these items show fair condition wear including noticeable scuffing, heavy edge wear, and some spine damage that tells their unique story over time. They make a fantastic nostalgic addition to any library bookshelf or nursery display, so we highly encourage potential buyers to see all photos to review every condition detail.
