The head swells plumply, tapering to a slender tail. This is a sculpture of light that captures the organic form of a nasu (eggplant) in bamboo. The yellow, glowing bamboo strips are woven with irregular cavities of varying sizes, not uniform. The light and shadow that leak from these openings create an infinitely changing pattern throughout the day. Inside, a halved black bamboo cylinder (5cm width x 13cm height) rests quietly, offering a glimpse into a depth that contrasts with the exterior's vibrancy. Its tall, slender silhouette of 36cm is ideal for displaying a single flower or long, trailing vines. It is, in itself, a minimalist art object where natural beauty and human craftsmanship intersect.

A vessel that makes extremely simple floral materials look most dramatic. Or, a modern art piece that stands alone, capable of creating an art space simply by being placed. The interplay of light and shadow created by its hollows is its greatest decoration.
