GRETSCH G6128T-1962 Duo Jet Double Cutaway with Bigsby
Made in Japan by Terada Gakki (Modified for practical use) 2005

This is a highly-rated 2005 model made in Japan by Terada Gakki. Includes original hard case. There is a small chip on the headstock binding (Image 13).

Sound output confirmed OK, no neck breaks, and no noticeable warping.

◆Modified for practical use:

Changed to strap locks (Image 8).
The holes for the Bigsby string posts have been drilled through, making string changes significantly easier (Image 3).

The Bigsby arm was shifted about 5mm towards the 1st string, so a hole was drilled under the body to move it to the correct position (Image 15). The bridge is now almost perfectly aligned. Additionally, the bridge is secured with double-sided tape (Image 16).

The rear pickup could not be lowered, resulting in high string action. Therefore, a small amount of wood was removed from under the rear pickup to allow for lowering the pickup and string height (Image 10).
The screws have been replaced (Image 9).

The wooden bridge did not match the body's curve, so sandpaper was used to adjust it. This process caused significant scuff marks on the body (Images 16-19).

◆At 3.3kg, it's lightweight and the double cutaway makes it very easy to play. I'm selling it because I want a Silver Jet. It has been extensively modified for practical use, so I hope it will be used heavily for live performances.

◆Not recommended for those who are overly sensitive.
