The material is likely cotton, but we cannot confirm this with certainty. We apologize for any inconvenience. The obi is divided into two parts: the part that forms the drum (taiko) and the hanging end (tare) and tip (tesaki), and the body wrap (dōmaki) part. This is a pre-tied obi where you can adjust the size of the drum and the shape of the hanging end and tip yourself. It appears to be an almost unused stored item with some basting stitches still attached, and we believe there are no damages or stains that would hinder its wear.
