Rare! Vintage 1981 Porsche Carrera (5631) Sunglasses with Interchangeable Lenses

Rare! Make a statement wearing these Unisex, EUC, Vintage 1981 Porsche Design by Carrera Aviator/Pilot Style Sunglasses (Model 5631), made in Austria. Featuring a black frame with gold plated crossbar and arms, black tinted lenses (no gradient), laser-etched Porsche Design logo and unique serial numbers. Innovative center hinge raises (see photo 9) to allow lenses to be inserted onto prongs, securely clamping them back into place for a functional and adaptable aesthetic. Included to ensure a comfortable fit: arms which are coated at the end, and adjustable silicone nose pads. Comes with an extra bonus pair of red clip-on frames with mirrored finish, allowing for customization. These belonged to my mom, who wore them proudly, red hair flying, as she drove around in her Carrera. She took good care of them, and they have since been safely stored, unworn, for roughly 40 years. The only minor wear I can see is on the etching on one of the arms. A true collector’s piece for Porsche enthusiasts, or anyone who wants to re-live or emanate the luxe life of the 1980s.
