Description
Vintage Japanese lusterware cup and saucer dating to approximately the late 1920s or 1930s. Features a warm butterscotch yellow glaze with pearly gray lavender luster bands and crisp black accent lines for a distinctly Art Deco look. Both pieces are marked Made in Japan. The porcelain is notably thin and becomes translucent when held to a strong light, as shown in the final photos. Cup measures about 4 inches across including the handle. Saucer measures about 6 inches across. Very good vintage condition with light age related wear, surface marks, and minor glaze variation. No obvious chips or cracks seen. Please review photos closely. Saturday Mornings Vintage is a small family run shop with over 31 years of online selling experience and over 50,000 sales.
