French Men's Pocket Watch Mechanism with White Dial

Rare antique French Le Roy à Paris cylinder watch movement, offered as a movement only.  The movement is from a Le Roy à Paris pocket watch and features the distinctive early bridged/Lépine-style architecture associated with late 18th- and early 19th-century French cylinder movements.  The original watch’s cuvette was photographed before the case was separated from the movement. The cuvette is engraved:  “LE ROY à PARIS”  “CYLINDRE 8 TROUS EN RUBIS”  The cuvette is NOT included in this sale and is shown only in the listing photographs as documentation of the original watch and movement.  The surviving movement appears to run when gently shaken, but it has not been professionally serviced, cleaned, timed or tested for accuracy. It is therefore sold as-is, for restoration, study, parts, or collection.
