Vintage German Erzgebirge Wood Candle Holders Pair Angel & Miner Christmas 10.5"

This is an authentic matching pair of traditional German holiday folk art figures handcrafted in the famous toy-making village of Seiffen in the Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge) region. This classic set features the protective Angel of Light paired with a traditional Miner in his parade uniform.  Designed in the style of the renowned Emil A. Schalling workshop, this set stands out with its unique and vibrant blue-clad angel and beautifully detailed miner figurine. Both figures hold dual brass candle cups designed to support traditional small Christmas pyramid tapers.  Height: Approx. 10.5” tall  Material: Hand-turned and hand-painted wood, brass candle plates  Condition: Great vintage condition. The paint remains bright and free of structural breaks or major chips.  The Angel: Features a few minor cosmetic blemishes, including a tiny faint dark speck on the side of the light blue dress, a couple of small dark pinprick spots on the side/back of the head near the crown line, and some minor paint wear/blemishes from age on her wings. The red wooden candle cups show minor surface marks and age wear to the paint. The Miner: The red wooden candle cups show light surface marks. One cup features a clean vertical line that appears to be an original production artifact from the turning/manufacturing process rather than post-production damage.  The Metal Inserts: There is light, natural patina and minor wax residue in the brass candle cups, which adds to their authentic charm.
