2 Vintage Corningware Handles

Two vintage CorningWare detachable twist-and-lock handles. These accessories were popular mid-century kitchen tools designed primarily for classic CorningWare pyroceram casserole dishes and skillets. Because CorningWare dishes could go directly from the stovetop or oven straight to the dining room table, these temporary handles allowed cooks to safely move hot bakeware without needing bulky oven mitts. To attach them, you slide the wide, stainless-steel jaw mechanism over the small integrated tab handles built into the sides of the dish. Twisting the bottom tip or the entire black grip tightens the clamp, securely locking the handle onto the dish so it can be lifted like a traditional pot or pan. They are built with robust stainless steel components and heat-resistant black Bakelite or hard plastic grips.
