【Shūhō Saku Kiyosada, Island Boxwood Peacock Grain Moriage Pieces】 *Includes a paulownia flat box with a slanted seven-stage inner lid and a piece bag.
299.00 $
Description
This is a Kiyosada-style, island-shaped boxwood Shogi piece set with a peacock grain, crafted by Shuhou Murakawa, who was known as a master carver in Tendo. Among Shuhou's works, the wood grain of this set is exceptional. The pieces, which have turned a deep amber color, evoke a sense of history. Kiyosada-style writing is an ancient script passed down since the Edo period, and was recently adopted in the second game of the 49th Ki-O title match (Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture: Sota Fujii, Ki-O vs. Takumi Ito).
Thank you for viewing.
*Includes a high-quality paulownia wood flat box with a slanted seven-dan lid and a piece bag, as shown in the photos.
*Includes one extra fu (pawn) piece.
