- I purchased these items myself to build the Nagaoka-style D-37 or SS-66 Moai. I kept them carefully, thinking I would build them someday, but as my plans never materialized, I have finally decided to list them for sale.
- Since one without the other would be meaningless, they are being sold as a set with the dedicated adapter ring (FOSTEX genuine product).
- Both the main unit and the ring were opened for the first time for this listing (photography). Photos 1-4 show the unit before opening, and photos 5-9 show it after opening.
- Although I am seeing the unit for the first time myself, I was shocked to find a stain (dirt) on the cone. While this is unavoidable due to age, please understand that it is an unopened, new product. I have lowered the price accordingly.
- The original retail price for the units (set of 2) was ¥58,000 (excluding tax), and the rings (set of 2) were ¥36,000 (excluding tax).
- The units were sold through a limited application of 500 units, and many may prefer these over later models like the EΣ.
- The rings were described in advertisements as high-precision machined brass. Photos 10-12 show them before opening, and photos 13-15 show them after opening. The outer box for the rings was not sealed with tape, and only one part of the inner box was secured with cellophane tape (Photo 12).
- These are very rare items. How about them for those who use the same product or as replacements? Please note that I have only opened the boxes for photography and have not tested the sound output (continuity check), so please purchase with this understanding.
- As a bonus, I will include clippings of advertisements from that time, as well as construction articles for the Nagaoka-style D-37 and SS-66 Moai (Photo 16).
