FX-AUDIO TUBE-00J Kai Vacuum Tube Preamp with AC Adapter
33.66 $
Description
This is a modified version of the classic vacuum tube preamplifier, FX-AUDIO- TUBE-00J.
It was used with the Marantz PM8006 in Power Amp Direct mode.
The vacuum tubes have been changed from 6K4 to Soviet-made 6J1P, the tube sockets to ceramic ones, the coupling capacitors to TOKIN Kogyo Jovial UTSJ, and the volume control to an Alps product.
Changing the vacuum tubes has had a significant impact on the sound quality.
Soviet 6J1P-EV, 6J3P-E, 6J38P-EV, and 6AU6 from various manufacturers also sound good.
The shaft of the volume control has a different thickness than the standard, so a different knob has been attached.
The set includes the main unit, two 6J1P tubes, the outer box, and a 12V 1A AC adapter.
Thank you.
