A Tube Compressor with its Own Tone
The LA-610 Mk II's T4 tube compressor delivers the same warm-sounding limiting as the king of opto-compressors, the Teletronix LA-2A. The electro-optical detector, or T4 cell, is the heart and soul of the Teletronix LA-2A. Its photo-resistor is a crucial circuit that gives the compressor its unique warmth, making it ideal for tracking vocals, bass, and acoustic guitar. In short, it's impossible to get a bad sound using the LA-610 MkII's legendary preamp and compressor.
