【20% OFF】Working Beautiful Condition SONY Open Reel Tape Recorder TC-222

This is a SONY 5-inch open reel tape recorder.
Model number: TC-222.
This item is over 50 years old and was found in unopened moving boxes during a relocation.
I was skeptical about its operation, but as expected from a SONY product, it works except for the fast-forward function.
The exterior is also in good condition for an item over 50 years old.
(Please check the photos)
This time, to confirm the recording content of a 5-inch open reel tape that was found at the same time and to make a copy, I connected it to a TV via the monitor output and a dubbing unit, and was surprised by the excellent sound quality.
★ However, the fast-forward function does not work.
Purchased around 1969.
★ Since there is no instruction manual, I have quoted the description from another seller's listing.
1) The tape speed can be easily changed between 9.5/4.8 cm/sec with a switching dial.
It is compatible with both 50/60Hz using a DC motor.
2) Equipped with SONY-O-MATIC function for automatic recording level adjustment.
3) Recording, playback, counter, VU meter, etc. are functioning.
★ The VU meter moves with voltage, but no recording level operation is observed (it is unclear if this function is present).
Recording input via MIC and AUX IN has been confirmed.
The input jacks are 3.5mm.
4) The unit dimensions are W295 x D302 x H118mm, and it weighs approximately 4kg.
5) Power is AC100V, and it can also be powered by 4 D-cell batteries.
★ There is no rust inside the battery compartment.
★ The operation handle is loose and comes off when pulled upwards.
